Sports Medicine Doctor Joins Hudson Headwaters
Erin M. Morine, DO, a physician with a specialty in Sports Medicine, has joined the staff of Hudson Headwaters Health Network. In early November, Dr. Morine will begin caring for patients on the West Mountain Health Services campus on Carey Road (Building 2) in Queensbury, and at the Warrensburg Health Center.
“We are delighted to welcome a young, high-caliber physician who has recently completed a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the Albany Medical Center,” said Dan Larson, MD, chief medical officer. “This allows us to more fully serve our patients, ranging from elite-level athletes to the recreational weekend warrior.”
A graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Morine completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the Albany Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine.
Dr. Morine will treat non-operative sports injuries, including exercise-induced asthma, concussions, over-use injuries, decreased sports performance, osteoarthritis and a variety of other musculoskeletal injuries. Her treatment approach uses both traditional and newer emerging modalities such as ultrasound for diagnostic purposes and for therapeutic injections. “It’s helpful to our patients to have another qualified physician for conditions related to sports,” Larson said.
Morine, who grew up in Saratoga Springs and is a former Division I collegiate soccer player, said that she is “absolutely thrilled to be joining such a strong network of providers. My practice strives to return patients safely to work and their desired sport or activity without surgery. I look forward to helping our community of athletes and non-athletes of all ages stay healthy and active.”
