Welcome, Family Physician, Ephraim Back, M.D., M.P.H.
Queensbury, N.Y. – April 18, 2019 – Hudson Headwaters Health Network is proud to announce family physician Ephraim Back, M.D., M.P.H., as the newest member of its medical staff at the Ticonderoga Health Center.
Dr. Back graduated from Cornell University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agronomy. He received his doctorate of medicine degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his residency program at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in epidemiology with the Centers for Disease Control and a Master of Public Health at the University at Albany.
Dr. Back has many years of experience as a family physician and family physician educator and was recently named “New York State Academy of Family Physicians Family Practice Educator of the Year.” His clinical interests include full-spectrum primary care, maternity care and women’s health, public health, and treatment of individuals with opioid use disorder.

Dr. Back and his wife Tara have two adult children who are both family physicians working with the Indian Health Service in New Mexico.
Dr. Back will see patients at the Ticonderoga Health Center.
